2014 Marathon Bake Sale

November 2, 2014 A busy Co-op School weekend finished with the Marathon Bake Sale organized to raise funds for the school’s scholarship fund. Parents baked up a storm of breakfast breads, muffins, cupcakes, and pies. The Bake Sale organizers braved the cold November winds to sell these treats and warm drinks to marathon spectators. Children and adults alike indulged in the goodies, hoping the additional sugar would keep them warm. Thanks to all the families and spectators for their support!

2014 Halloween Hangover Block Party

November 1, 2014 The Co-op School hosted it’s first, annual Halloween Hangover Block Party and it was a huge success! Rain forced the party indoors, but didn’t dampen spirits as attendees enjoyed games, DJs, and chatting with new and old friends. The creativeness of our community was on display, with challenging games including Potty Toss, Rock Monster, and Pumpkin Bowling. Thanks to the parents who organized and ran this event and to the families that braved to rain to join the party. We look forward to seeing another round of inventive games next year!

2014 Halloween Open Mic

October 31, 2014 A special Halloween Open Mic allowed children and teachers to proudly display their costumes and share something special with their schoolmates. The fun-loving nature of our classrooms shone brightly with an impressive collection of costumes and performances. We had a gaggle of Elsas singing a rousing rendition of Let It Go, Ninjas performing karate, a poetic Red Crayon, an out-of-this-world Lego man, a kingdom of animals and enough Super-Heros to keep the world safe. Both elementary and preschool teachers and staff joined in the fun, competing for the award of Best Costume. Thanks for being such great role-models-in-fun for our community!
