Academic Support

Learning Team and Supports

The learning support team strives to foster children’s growth, self esteem, and sense of accomplishment in partnership with teachers and parents. Our learning support team is composed of Co-op School specialists and Department of Education providers. Resources utilized internally include small group academic  intervention in reading, writing and mathematics, as well as weekly social skills groups led by our school counselor. Outside supports provided include, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Physical Therapy.

By fostering inclusivity, we prepare students for a world marked by diversity but also sow the seeds of a more equitable and compassionate society, where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.

Collaboration with Outside Support Providers

We partner with both families and outside support providers, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, executive functioning coaches, academic tutors, and psychotherapists, to ensure that we are most optimally supporting each student’s needs consistently across settings. We support families by providing outside referrals when necessary and collaborating with service providers through authorized communication with those providers when it is reasonable and appropriate to do so.
