Bi-Weekly Themes for ages 6-10
All campers enjoy live performances by local musicians, and other special entertainers. In addition to our themed enrichment activities, children dive into immersive, multi-week programs such as Robotics, Theater, and Capoeira, and spend ample time outdoors on our rooftop playground, which features climbing structures, sprinklers, and a hands-on teaching garden. Our 6-10 year old campers venture beyond the campgrounds, occasionally taking public transit to exciting destinations like the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Bridge Park. Although these themes are offered are bi-weekly, you do not have to sign your child up for both weeks of any theme!
From rhythm and beats to dance and flow, campers will explore the power of music and their bodies in motion! We’ll experiment with different instruments, learn choreography, create our own songs, and discover how music helps us express ourselves. Through drumming circles, dance parties, and collaborative performances, campers will build confidence while celebrating the joy of movement and sound.

Young engineers will dive into the world of mechanics and technology! Campers will explore how simple machines like levers, pulleys, and wheels make work easier, then apply their knowledge to build and program their own robots through our partnership with Brooklyn Robot Foundry. With hands-on challenges and creative problem-solving, they’ll discover how engineering shapes our world and showcase their inventions at our Future Fair!
Campers will learn the Afro-Brazilian art of capoeira—a dynamic blend of martial arts, dance, music, and acrobatics—while discovering the power of giving back. Through movement, rhythm, and teamwork, they’ll build strength and confidence. We’ll also connect with our community by meeting local heroes, planning service projects, and learning how everyone can make a positive impact in their neighborhood.
Lights, camera, action—and green thumbs too! Campers will split their time between the stage and the garden. They’ll explore storytelling through drama games, improvisation, and scene work while also getting their hands dirty learning about urban agriculture, composting, and plant care. This unique combination helps campers grow both their creative voices and environmental stewardship.
Campers will become 4D artists and curators as they learn the art of stop-motion animation! Using cameras, clay, toys, and recycled materials, they’ll create their own animated stories frame by frame. Campers will also step into the role of art curators, helping to select, organize, and display artwork from the entire summer for our end-of-camp art show. They’ll learn how museums and galleries present art, write descriptions for pieces, and decide how to showcase everyone’s creativity. The week culminates in our grand finale art exhibition where families can celebrate a summer of creative exploration while raising money for a local cause!
