Now Accepting Applications for the 2026–2027 School Year

Weekly Themes for 2-5s

All campers enjoy live performances by local musicians, and other special entertainers. In addition to our themed enrichment activities, children spend ample time outdoors on our rooftop playground, which features climbing structures, sprinklers, and a hands-on teaching garden. Campers ages 2-5 also have a variety of special enrichment classes, explore local playgrounds and enjoy visits from special guests, like local florists and firefighters.

Campers explore what it means to be a good friend through stories, songs, and cooperative play. We’ll do a camp-wide scavenger hunt to get to know each other and the people in our community, practice sharing, taking turns, and using kind words. Each day features activities that celebrate empathy and helping others. At the end of the week we’ll gather around a make-believe campfire with some s’mores and listen to stories from a special guest!

From honking taxis to chirping birds, we’ll discover the sounds and musical rhythms of Brooklyn all around us! Campers will create their own instruments, go on listening walks, and explore how different sounds make us feel. At the end of the week we’ll come together for a group concert in the school library.

From subway trains to delivery trucks, we’ll explore all the ways people and things travel through our busy streets! Campers will investigate wheels, tracks, and roads while learning about the vehicles that keep our city connected. We’ll build ramps, race toy cars, and learn about the community workers that keep Brooklyn moving. Each group will also have their own special “Wheel Day” where they can bring their bike, scooter or skateboard to our rooftop or to the park to roll and cruise around.

Young architects and engineers will design, construct, and create throughout this hands-on week. Using blocks, cardboard, and recycled materials, campers will build towers, bridges, and dream structures. We’ll also each get a chance to build our very own robots and showcase them in our annual Future Fair!

Campers will meet the real-life heroes who make our neighborhood special—from firefighters to mail carriers to crossing guards. We’ll learn how everyone can be a helper in their community and meet real first responders and professionals from our community, and show our appreciation by delivering gifts and raising awareness for a cause.

We’ll take to the skies as we explore things that fly, float, and glide! Campers will craft paper airplanes, kites and more while learning about birds, bubbles, butterflies, and clouds. We’ll discover the magic of air and movement all around us and end the week with an inspiring bubble show!

Beat the summer heat with water play and scientific discovery! From our rooftop sprinkler to water tables, campers will explore how water moves, splashes, and flows. We’ll conduct simple experiments and cool off while learning about this essential element and discuss how we can support the health of our rivers, lakes and oceans and all the creatures that live within them.

Campers will dig into the world of plants and growing things in our urban garden adventure. In our play yard and on our rooftop garden, we’ll learn about pruning and weeding, compost and clover, and learn what plants need to thrive in the city.

Art can change the world! Campers will discover how creativity and caring come together through painting, building, and community. We’ll explore how artists and activists use their voices to share important messages about kindness, fairness, and taking care of our planet. At the end of the week, we’ll host our End of Camp Art Show, where families can view our work while raising money for a local non-profit.
