Annual Fund FAQs
Why does The Co-op need an annual fund? Tuition alone does not cover the school’s costs. The Annual Appeal raises unrestricted funds that help to ensure the school’s continued growth by allowing us to direct resources where they are most needed.
Who is asked to give to the Annual Fund? Everyone! Current parents and grandparents, families of alumni, alumni themselves, Trustees and friends. Each year we aim for 100% participation from our growing community.
I can’t afford to give a large gift to the Annual Fund – is it still worth contributing? Absolutely. Please, give what you can – every single donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Your contributions are a sign of our community’s spirit and the strength of our core values, and this, in turn, helps us to attract funding from other sources.
Is my gift tax deductible? The Co-op School is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law. Consult your advisers before making any such gifts to The Co-op School. The school should also be contacted before the final arrangements for such gifts are made.
